Master's Degree in Anthropology: Cultural processes in Europe
This subject comprises 6 ECTS credits and is offered within the Master's Degree in Anthropology: Culture, Migration and Health, at the University of Murcia. It deals with anthropological theory and research focused on the study of complex societies. Special attention is paid to a historic-cultural perspective of Europe and to the two-way relationships between European Union, states, societies and individual citizens. It delves into the empirical and conceptual challenges arising from globalisation and the process of European integration.

UNIT 4: European values and the debate on the Christian origins of Europe.
UNIT 5: Life-modes and forms of everyday culture in the EU.
UNIT 6: Culture of the national state in Europe.
UNIT 7: The welfare state in Europe.
UNIT 8: Migrations.
